Did you break up with your ex and now you want him or her back? Did you not expect to feel as bad as you do? This is more common than people think. If you are interested in getting your ex back, there are a few simple things to keep in mind when this is your intention.

The first step is getting all the feelings of hurt out of your system in a healthy way. Journaling and talking with a trusted friend will provide a healthy outlet for your emotions. Fight the urge to spew ugly things about your ex online.

Since all those intense feelings are out in the open, reflect on what happened that caused your ex to break things off with you. Maybe there were some key things that you do need to work on. Look at this experience as a learning one and it will give you some perspective.

Once you have worked on bettering yourself, write your ex a letter explaining that you agree with the split. You may not really agree with the break up but this will portray you as being mature and in control of yourself. Now that your ex thinks you are unattainable they may start wanting you back.

Now that you have put it out there for your ex this will get them to thinking about how mature you really are and perhaps cause them to realize how much they miss you. By agreeing to the break up you now have the upper hand. Just sit back and watch them squirm and try to figure out how you are so calm.
